I created this course because I believe education can be healing.
As a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with nearly 15 years of experience in hospital, outpatient, in-home, and community-based settings, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people through some of life’s most complex and painful moments. And in all those years, I’ve seen one thing consistently: when people understand why they feel the way they do, something shifts. Shame softens. Self-trust grows. Change becomes possible.
Outside of my work and family life, you’ll usually find me cooking, baking bread, or spending time with animals—simple, grounding routines that help me come back to calm when life gets chaotic. These small practices remind me that regulation isn’t always big or dramatic—it’s often found in the quiet moments, and I truly believe in practicing what I share in this course.
A pivotal moment in my journey came in 2017 when I was first introduced to EMDR therapy. I was struck by how powerful and effective it was—and eventually had the opportunity to experience it firsthand. It helped me uncover and heal wounds I didn’t even realize were still affecting me. That experience not only shifted how I saw myself, but also deepened how I approach my work. From that point on, I committed to ongoing training in this form of treatment.
While this course isn’t therapy, it is rooted in the same principles that helped me and so many of my clients: nervous system awareness, trauma-informed education, and tools to regulate, reflect, and reset.
I created Calm Your Mind, Achieve Your Potential to help high-achieving, often overwhelmed people understand what’s really going on under the surface—so they can finally stop self-blaming and start building a life that feels lighter, clearer, and more in flow.
